Bart works at a publishing house and has also written a book himself. He and his wife have five children. Bart's ex-girlfriend Mildred is the manager of the Paris office. She helps Bart publish his book and convinces him to marry her after he divorces Mildred. Seeing how well his kids have grown up without him, he asks Peggy if the kids can move in with him and Mildred. Peggy agrees, but this jeopardizes Mildred's future.
