"In a famly like this... everyone has them."

Sometimes the lives of actors and actresses outside the set are even more complicated than on the silver screen. When producer Mel Wexler auditions for the new television series, Manhattan, he has no idea what personal secrets his stars are carrying. Mel Wexler himself is still coping with the deaths of his wife and children, but begins an affair with the series' lead actress, the beautiful yet mysterious Sabina Quarles.
