Sambá plot
Francisco "Cisco" Castillo has served a 15-year prison sentence in the United States and is released. He is deported back to his home in the Dominican Republic. His mother and his teenage son have lived in their modest home. His son Leury gives him a cold welcome on his return home and is angry because he has not brought a present. Cisco accepts a job in the docks and warehouses where his late father had previously worked. On his way to work, he meets Nichi, an Italian immigrant and former boxer.
