Salka Valka plot

Young Salka (Gunnel Broström) arrives with her mother in a fishing village in Iceland, where, despite the support of the Salvation Army, the mother is driven into prostitution. She kills herself when her pimp assaults Salka. As an adult, Salka has worked her way up society, but she falls in love with a fisherman who tries to start a union.
