Prêtres Interdits plot

A young village pastor falls in love with a young girl in the turbulent pre-WWII era. He resigns from office and must await her majority before they can marry. She dies during the war and he joins the resistance together with an abbot friend who (also) disputes the church hierarchy. He is killed and after the liberation the abbot brings it to the archbishop, who, however, has to teach young priests the necessity of celibacy.
