Prameň plot
The film is set in the mid-1980s, when Czechoslovakia used its laws to constantly exert influence on the most intimate aspects of its citizens' lives. Ingrid is an ambitious doctor whose job it is to deliver children, terminate unwanted pregnancies, and assist in the sterilization of Roma women. The melancholic woman has more doubts about her private life than about her professional life, until she is 'overwhelmed' by a new friendship with a charismatic Roma nurse. The spontaneous Agáta shows Ingrid the human side of a national minority that was reduced by the communists to a demographic problem.
