At a rich man's wedding in London, petty criminal Dominic Colpoys-Owen meets the attractive and naive Seraphina Yokami, the ambassador's daughter from a country in the Far East. Dominic learns from her that the ambassador has about 100,000 British pounds in the safe of his embassy. No longer wanting to be the assistant of American smuggler Joe Pready, Dominic seduces the innocent Seraphina in order to obtain even more information about her father's safe in order to eventually rob it. Because he cannot carry out this robbery alone, Dominic contacts the gambler Edward Humphries, but he does not see his plan. Dominic manages to convince Edward's henchman Toddy and the burglar Colonel Whitfield of his plan. Dominic and the colonel hope to reach the basement of the embassy via an unused line of the metro near Piccadilly. Meanwhile, Toddy is stopped by the police and goes crazy during an interrogation.
