Phony plot
David Bush is a novice filmmaker with a lot of bad luck and unlucky in love. He hires his womanizing friend Sam to make a documentary about the fabricated world of internet dating. The pair begin their devious venture by scrutinizing women's dating profiles. Then they test their theories about the value of the truth by having David make up lies for his own profile. Their partnership begins amicably, but as production progresses, boundaries are crossed and their alliance put to the test.
