Patrie plot

While Flanders is oppressed by the troops of the King of Spain, a great lord, the Count Rysoor has made secret contacts with Guillaume d'Orange who is trying to liberate the area from his homeland. The latter is married to a beautiful young woman and has his best friend Karloo, in whom he has one hundred percent confidence, as his loyal lieutenant. On his return from a clandestine expedition on the side of Prince d'Orange, the Count is apprehended by the Spaniards who take him to the Duke d'Albe, the governor of the city.
