Harry 'Flash' Gordon is a snooker player who finds himself in the shadowy life of the snooker halls, bars, dirty cops, hookers and booze. He comes into contact with bookie Billy Evans who promises him golden mountains, and on his hand he even ends up at the World Championship in Blackpool.
