Notebook plot
In the Kashmir Valley, Kabir, a former army officer, comes as a teacher at a school once run by his father. The school has no facilities, is in a deplorable condition and has to close without a teacher. The disciples do not like Kabir because he is strict. Kabir then finds the diary of the previous teacher Firdaus and takes over her way of teaching. He soon becomes the students' friend. He learns more about Firdaus and wants to know where she is staying and what she is currently doing.
