"THE TORRID LOVES OF A FOOTLIGHT QUEEN!"
Steel magnate John Thornley has been in love with showgirl Doree Macy for years. When he learns she's in New York for a play, he invites her to a party on his yacht. He also asks his partner Robert Byrne, who agrees to come, on the condition that he can bring his work to the party. John sends Doree to Bob to take him away from work. This one refuses, but the next morning he joins her for a swim. Towards the end of the weekend, Doree is in love with Bob, who is married, but the latter explains that he and his wife have some sort of "agreement." Though she's afraid he's just playing with her while his wife is away, Doree begins an affair with him.
