Mountain Song plot

Six-year-old Gimba lives with his sick mother in the mountains of Pipikoro, a remote area of Sulawesi. Gimba does not leave his mother's side after the death of his father, afraid of losing her too. He can often be found in a shady spot, somewhere between the villages and the rice fields, where he watches the people and waits for Lara, a mysterious also six-year-old girl who sometimes just pops up from the forest.
