After his widowed father Herbert 'Herb' Delano remarries, eight-year-old Daniel 'Mokey' Delano has a hard time adjusting to his stepmother Anthea. Although Anthea is gentle and loving to Mokey, he deeply resents her presence. Mokey does everything he can to make life miserable for Anthea. With Anthea and he unable to control Mokey, Herb decides to send his troublesome son to a boarding school. It seems since then that Mokey is beginning to realize how wrong he has been.
