Marleneken plot

November 1989. A woman drives on the highway near the border with East Germany. An almost endless series of 'Trabis' drives towards her. This is not the first turning point in the life of 50-year-old Marilena. She is on her way to her critically ill mother in a small town in the GDR. On the way back, when she was five years old, Marilena remembers that the war had ended. She lived in this city with her mother and older sister Margaret, but she was evacuated to Berlin with the rest of the family.
