Maria do Mar plot
Falacha is the captain of a fishing boat, part of the crew of which died in a shipwreck. One of these is Aurélia's husband, who blames Falacha for her husband's death. A few years later, Maria, Falacha's daughter, falls in love with Manuel, Aurélia's son. Through the history of their parents, the young couple becomes the new Romeo and Juliet of the village.
