Mabel plot

No one understands Callie, a clumsy child whose only friend, Mabel, is a plant—except Mrs. G, her teacher. Mrs. G introduces her to the controversial world of "plant intelligence." Eager to impress her, Callie builds a secret greenhouse in her backyard. But Callie's obsession creates conflict with her mother and jeopardizes her first friendship with another child.
