Lighthouse plot
Connie is madly in love with lighthouse keeper Sam Wells, but he rejects her. She then targets his colleague Hank Armitage, and marries him out of spite. All three live together within the narrow confines of the lighthouse and jealousy and reproach rise almost as high as the crashing waves and howling wind outside. Sam is happy with the situation because it looks like he won't be held accountable for his actions. And now that he can't get Connie anymore, she's become all the more attractive to him. Connie falls in love with Hank as a result of her rejection of Sam's seduction attempts, but that threatens to create a brooding atmosphere between the trio...
