Liegen Lernen plot

Helmut, a shy and naive boy, falls head over heels for the prettiest girl in high school, Britta. He does everything for her and does not realize that she is only using him. Britta suddenly leaves for America and Helmut is left behind with a broken heart. Only after months does he realize that he meant nothing to her, but he cannot get her out of his mind and heart. In the years to come, Helmut has several love affairs, but no one can match Britta. Then Tina, a smart and independent woman comes into his life. When Tina becomes pregnant, Helmut panics and flees.
