Leni plot

A married couple, Hannes (Johannes Thanheiser) and Alwina (Christa Berndl), take on the care of baby Leni (Johanna Thanheiser) in 1937. When it turns out that Leni has a Jewish mother, the foster parents first bury their heads in the sand. Until the Nazis come to collect the girl to put her in a Jewish orphanage, after which Auschwitz is not far away...
