LBJ: The Early Years plot
Lyndon B. Johnson (Randy Quaid) fought for new legislation in his day to bring a divided America into alignment. Between 1934 and 1963, he started out as a politician with a rather devious course, but grew into a prominent public figure in positions such as senator and vice president. His wife Claudia Johnson (Patti LuPone) stood by him all along, even when his extramarital affairs came to light. In the end, Johnson even becomes president of America, as a result of the attack on John F. Kennedy. In 1964 and 1965 he passed the legendary Civil Rights Acts, which finally gave the black population of America full rights.
