Las Malas Intenciones plot
Cayetana is an only child growing up in Lima during the 1980s. She spends her days taunting the housekeepers and talking to her imaginary friends, many of Peruvian heroes who have already passed away. What disturbs the 9-year-old girl most is not the threat of terrorism in her own country, but the news that her Valium-swallowing mother is pregnant. She is convinced that the birth will be her downfall and begins to express her indignation about this in a morbid way.
