La Malquerida plot

Faustino wants to marry Acacia, a girl who would do anything to leave her family, but her stepfather opposes the marriage because he thinks she doesn't love him enough. He sends Faustino away and threatens to kill him if he returns. The young man wants to come and get Acacia at night and is shot. Faustino's family vows to avenge his death.
