L'Arche du Désert plot

In a sea of sand called desert, lies a timeless, isolated and poor village, where different peoples and religions live together in relative harmony. Until two young people fall in love. A few innocent kisses between Myriam and Amin will profoundly disrupt the order that has prevailed between the different peoples for generations, because they ignore the existing taboos and racial barriers. The violation of old conventions exposes invisible and nameless boundaries between peoples. In contrast to the visible boundaries, which are called racism. The honours of the two communities are honoured, suppressed hatred and extremist views are welling up, war is not far off… A single element transcends social and racial differences: water. Everyone is equal for water. But precisely because this equality seems so intolerable, the inhabitants destroy what constitutes the essence of their lives.
