"The Adamant Girl"
Two Indian families plan the wedding of their daughter Meena and son Pandi. The problem is: Meena is in love with someone else - from a lower caste at that. The film opens when everything is over and the will of the Meena family has been left cold. She has fallen into a monumental silence. Her family can find only one logical explanation for this state of affairs: Meena must be possessed. Once possessed, nothing can stand in the way of happiness. So the double family party rattles and cracks its way to a conqueror of demons.
