Königskinder plot
Magdalena drives to the airport in Moscow to get a job behind German lines. At the same time, Michael and Jürgen are on a plane that takes them to the Russian capital. The lovers Michael and Magdalena will therefore miss each other. Meanwhile, the three friends see flashbacks from earlier days: Michael and Magdalena distributed leaflets in the early days of National Socialism, but Jürgen joined the new 'brown' power. When Michael's underground activities were discovered, he ended up in a concentration camp and later in a disciplinary battalion, where he met his old friend Jürgen again, but this time as his boss. Jürgen had not lost his conscience and soon joined forces with this supposed enemy.
