Katia plot
In 1857, the Tsar Alexander II made the acquaintance of Catherine, surnamed Katia, the daughter of Dolgorouky whom he received in his family castle of Tiplovka. Two years later, he meets her again at the Imperial Institute of Smolny and invites her for a sleigh ride. Several years later, Katia has become a ravishingly beautiful woman and receives an offer to live in the royal court. The Tsar does not hesitate to make her his mistress, but this causes serious concern among the nobility. To avoid a scandal, Katia is exiled to Paris.
