Karera plot

Betting is a popular pastime in the Philippines, where corruption, fear and superstition form shaky pillars of society. LV is a woman with grown children who earns her money from an illegal gambling center in her backyard. Business is not going so well - she has to pay too much money - and her children are not doing well either. Her daughter is wanted through a gang, her eldest, divorced son tries to raise his meager wages as a horse caretaker with illegal practices and the youngest son makes a bet about having sex with his girlfriend. The sad story of the dysfunctional Domingo family.
