Kanchenjungha plot

It's the last day of a wealthy family from Calcutta's Darjeeling vacation. They reside in a hill station at the foot of Mount Kanchenjungha, the second-highest mountain in the Himalayas, but to date the family has not been able to catch a glimpse of Kanchenjungha. The family members are dominated by father Indranath, an industrialist. He wants his daughter to marry the man of his choice and hopes he will propose if the two can be together for a while.
