Kakera plot
Haru is a college girl who is totally ignored by her boyfriend, except when he feels like having sex. She tells herself that the relationship still has meaning. Then in a cafe she meets the bisexual Riko, a medical artist who creates body parts for people who have lost them through an illness or accident. Riko also feels alone and the two immediately feel friendship and security together. Riko sees in Haru an emotional void for which she herself thinks she can be the cure. The two plunge into a relationship, which seems to give Haru a more fulfilling meaning in her life.
