Ivan plot
Mara gives birth to an illegitimate son named Ivan. Mara is secretly in love with the child's father, the businessman Rok. When Rok is accused of fraud, his friends abandon him. That also has consequences for Mara. She is beaten up by Rok's comrades and ends up at a hiding place. Rok takes her and Ivan with him. Now she is determined that her dreams will come true. Rok, however, uses them to get hold of money. On the run from the police, he forces Mara to make a terrible sacrifice: to leave her baby behind.
