Isda plot

Miguel and Lina flee their hopeless existence in the countryside and travel to Manila. They build makeshift shelter on a garbage dump. Miguel is offered work by a relative in an ice-processing facility, but Miguel cannot stand the extreme temperatures and becomes ill. Then Lina gets pregnant, but instead of giving life to a baby, she gives birth to a fish. The new parents become a sight, much to Miguel's embarrassment.
