Ireum-eobsneun Byeoldeul plot
The son of a freedom fighter, Sang-hun is a member of an anti-Japanese resistance group called "Seongjinhoe" and composed of Korean students who share a commitment to realize liberation. Their spiritual guide is the teacher Song Un-in. Yeong-ae, whose brother is a detective with the Japanese police, is tasked with overseeing the independence movements. However, she joins their group. A series of sporadic incidents follow. The students gather one night and decide to riot, but they are discovered by the police. Young-ae is falsely accused of betraying their plans, but she risks her life so the group members can escape. The next morning, the students of Gwangju revolt against the Japanese government.
