Hypocrites plot
The film tells two stories that run in parallel. One about an early Christian ascetic monk, the other about a modern preacher. Both men are called Gabriel. Medieval Gabriel wants to make a statue of The Truth, but gets into trouble when he depicts this concept as a naked woman. The modern Gabriel preaches to a community for which religion is more about superficiality than about the actual message.
