Hush Money plot

Doug is a painter with big money problems. He has debts to a mafia boss, who threatens to kill his daughter if he doesn't come up with money today. Out of sheer desperation, Doug kidnaps the 12-year-old daughter of a famous baseball pro so that he can demand a ransom. But that plan doesn't come to fruition, as Doug's accomplice pulls out at the last minute. Things get even more complicated when Doug learns that his young hostage, Kennedy, has a fiery temper and suffers from asthma. Moreover, her mother turns out to be a cold and stubborn type who will not just pay ransom. Doug manages to get her there with a ruse. But then suddenly a package deliverer shows up at the door. And he sees something he should never have seen…
