How Light Gets In plot

Wies (14) is an introverted and sensitive teenager who lives and works on a care farm. She is of the generation that suffers from 'climate depression'. Wies therefore does not want to leave her room, stays in bed and sees the world collapsing into the abyss before her eyes. But she realizes that her apathy will not save anyone and nothing and therefore decides to keep bees on the care farm. When a new resident tries to contact Wies, it becomes increasingly difficult to focus on her plan.
