Hinterland plot

A young mother goes on a mountain hike with her two sons, David and Barthélemy. When the mother rests for a while on a grassy plain, she falls asleep. The boys have already wandered into the woods and find a wounded horse lying on its side. When the awakened mother goes looking for her offspring, she is startled by the cry of her youngest son.
