Herbert plot
Herbert is a huge, impressive guy with tattoos. He is quick with his fists as a former East German boxing champion. He is getting older and lives in a now reunited Germany. His best times are long gone. The only way he can use his talents is as a bouncer and blackmailer. The training of Eddy, a talented young boxer, gives him satisfaction in his otherwise rather sad existence. He is in danger of losing all his enormous strength. He is ravaged by spasms; while showering after training and while getting the umpteenth tattoo. He ignores it until the pain becomes unbearable and a doctor informs him that his days are numbered. He takes blow after blow and threatens to perish. Will he still have time to reconcile with his daughter, whom he left long ago? She is now a mother, who does everything she can to let her child lead a normal life.
