Powerful drama. There's little real story to speak of. The film spends a day watching nurse Floria. Because the camera stays close to the lead actress, the viewer is deeply involved. The stress and commotion are palpable while watching. Benesch's excellent performance certainly contributes to this. It's also beautiful how you see her facial expression change throughout the day. It's all very realistic. Recommended. 4.0/4.5

Leonie Benesh, who was also so incomparable in Das Lehrerzimmer, goes one better here. It's incredibly impressive how she elevates the film to a top level. A workday is like watching Floria's evening shift condensed into an hour and a half. Just watching it will make you exhausted. Eternal respect for all healthcare workers! A must-see!

A fantastic film that's more of a documentary than a drama. And that works really well. Especially because it incorporates cinematic elements, like the increasingly emphatic music and the incredibly tight editing, to convey the protagonist's feelings (another intense and convincing Benesch, following previously in Das Lehrerzimmer but also secretly in September 5). Visually, it's also very pleasing, with beautiful lighting and pleasant colors interspersed throughout. But above all, a film that follows someone in their work, with all that entails, is right up my alley. First, the handover, briefly asking about each other's weekends, helping each other out on the work floor, interacting with the patients.

At the end, a bit of drama comes into play, and it was completely unnecessary. I'm not saying there are any truly off notes (although they do lean towards it), but suddenly you're watching a film instead of a documentary, and that didn't fit. Otherwise, the score would have been even higher. It's fortunate, though, that the film doesn't come to a full-blown explosion or that Benesch completely collapses, which would have been completely inappropriate. And the film ends wonderfully with the voice of ANOHNI (from back when she performed as Antony and the Johnsons). 4.0*.
