Heat Wave plot

"The Watts uprising of '65 turned the police into killers... a community into ashes... and a young black journalist into a hero."

In this true story, a black Los Angeles Times reporter volunteers to cover the 1965 race riots in the Watts neighborhood. It is impossible for the white Times reporters to give a safe impression of the riot at the time. 'Heat Wave' follows the journalist's actions, who eventually receives a Pulitzer Prize for his work.
