Half Broken Things plot

Yesterday's secret creates today's nightmares in this dark drama about three strangers who kill to protect their rightful property. Jean is a professional housesitter who is about to retire. Before taking her last jobs, she has agreed to watch over the palatial Walden Manor while its owners are away. As Jean prepares for a quiet weekend at the estate, her peace is suddenly disturbed by a desperate knock at the door. On the other side is a pregnant girl named Steph who has fled from her boyfriend who is abusing her. Accompanied by a friendly stranger named Michael, Steph is looking for a safe place to give birth to her baby. However, she has left a trail of blood that leads to the 'Walden Manor' and in her efforts to find happiness by escaping her violent past, she will soon discover that the present can sometimes prove to be ruthless.
