Gotta plot
Fourteen-year-old Leon does not need words to let his mother know that he misses his father: the cap on his head says it all. The taciturn teenager found that cap in his father's boat, which lies negligible in the harbor of IJmuiden while its owner is serving his time in prison. The tension between mother and son is palpable and comes to a boil for Leon when he discovers that the neighbor in their gallery flat is more to his mother than just a neighbor.
