Girdap plot

Umut, a young man in his twenties, is accepted to study at Istanbul University. He finds two roommates and a flat on a billboard of the university cafe. Umut is the son of a middle-class Turkish family, who had an apolitical outlook at the beginning of his student life. He and his two other housemates discover that mystical as well as supernatural events are happening in the house they live in. These experiences influence Umut in an unusual way, encouraging him to indirectly draw closer to Islam as a means of finding answers.
