Ginger plot

Boxer Barney O'Hara retires from the ring due to poor eyesight and settles in a small town with his cousin Chip O'Hara. Chip adopts a stray dog he names Ginger. However, pompous Mayor Hector Tillford Jr., who dreams of a city park named after him, doesn't like dogs. Hector certainly doesn't soften after Ginger bit him and he has the dog locked up as well.
