Gina plot

Nine-year-old Gina longs for the warmth of a real family, but her mother Gitte struggles with the demands of single parenthood and an impending fourth child. Gitte seeks refuge in excessive partying and alcohol, and risks losing the only thing that keeps her going: her children. As Gina struggles against a backdrop of generational poverty, neglect and lovelessness, she refuses to accept that her fate is determined by her birthplace.
