Freckles plot
Freckles is a young drifter who lost his left hand in childhood. When he arrives at John McLean's logging camp, he is offered a job as a security guard after much pleading on his part. The logging company suffers greatly from a gang of thieves led by Jack Barbeau. On one of his lonely quests as a guard in the Indiana woods, Freckles stumbles upon a fisherman, who he later learns was Barbeau.
