Framed plot

"A story of art and love"

Dylan Hughes (10) lives with his parents in North Wales. After a mysterious convoy arrives at his village and settles on a mountaintop, the villagers learn that the National Gallery is suffering from flooding and that the priceless paintings were sent to Wales to be stored, just like during World War II. be in an old slate mine. Responsible for the entire operation is Quentin Lester, an intelligent but reserved administrator who is more interested in paintings than people. This changes when, after an accumulation of misunderstandings, he invites Dylan to come and see the paintings. The visit triggers an extraordinary series of events that will change the lives of the residents and of Lester.
