Fissure plot

Still reeling from a personal tragedy, Detective Paul Grunning is sent out on a routine call that takes place at an eminent scientist's home. It turns into a mysterious case in which someone is killed. Grunning then falls victim to his own misjudgments. He investigates the house and finds new clues in every room. However, questioning the people involved yields little and he has to step into an uncertain reality to solve the case...
