Familiar plot

Dragoş is a director who wants to film the story of his parents' emigration to West Germany in the 1980s. The protagonist slowly descends a rabbit hole of hidden truths and finds his family, identity and romantic life threatened. Dragoş wants to understand the dark circumstances under which his parents left Romania during the communist regime and urges them to make their Securitate (secret police) files public.
