Doctor Silas Brenton is fired from a major hospital primarily for a lack of ethics. Brenton moves to Chicago, where he works as an unqualified plastic surgeon and seduces women there. Brenton's quack methods lead to a complication in an operating room, which leads to tragedy for many others.
